Salama holds a Bachelors of Business Studies (Accounting) from Islamic University in Uganda, Diploma in Financial Services and Business Computing from Makerere University, Training in USAID and CDC financial management and Compliance. She is an Accomplished Chattered Accountant with an experience of over ten years. 

She started her professional accounting work with BMR Associates CPA and later served with Ernst & Young CPA, Makerere University College of Health Sciences as an Accountant, and others.
