Mark holds a Masters of Science in Accounting and Finance from Makerere Business School, a Bachelors Degree in Business Education from Makerere University. He is an Accomplished Chattered Accountant and Tax Advisor with an experience of over ten years. 

He started his professional accounting work with AH Thakkar and Sons (Currently Baker Tilly Hem LLP), and later served with Prudential Uganda, Property Services Ltd and Group, Ernest & Young CPA, and others. He is currently a member of the Tax and Economic Policy Committee under ICPAU.

He is an IT enthusiast of accounting systems' development with keen interest in Accounting Softwares such as Tally prime, Odoo, Sage, Accounting Inquest, QuickBooks and Edge.
